Mr. Himadar Maddipatla

Mr. Himadar Maddipatla is the President and Chief Executive Officer of ICICI Bank Canada.

Mr. Maddipatla has around 30 year of experience in the business and finance world, including the last 20 years with the ICICI Group.  He has a strong background in relationship management and stakeholder engagement and has a demonstrated ability to lead strong team through a focus on engagement and client service.

Most recently, Mr. Maddipatla was the ICICI Group State Head for Tamil Nadu and City Business Head for Chennai, where he was responsible for developing and executing the business strategy encompassing Retail Branch Banking, Business Banking, Private Banking, Wealth & Trade, Mortgage, Institutional Banking, Forex, NRI and Remittances, and transaction banking.  As State Head, Mr. Maddipatla was responsible for managing a team of 6000 employees and 600 branches in a region with a population of over 77 million people.  From 2015 to 2020 he served as Zonal Head for the North East Region of India and North Bengal, where he was instrumental in scaling the retail and business banking activities in the zone.  He also played a leading role in building regulatory and stakeholder relationships in these regions.

Mr. Maddipatla holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He also served for 5 years as a director on the board of Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services, a public-private partnership established to manage trust and other public funds in the State of Tamil Nadu and to oversee key public infrastructure projects.
