Mr. Michael McAdoo
Michael McAdoo is a member of ICICI Bank Canada's Board of Directors and serves on the Audit, Risk and Conduct Review Committees of the Board. For more than 25 years, he has worked at the nexus of corporate strategy, public policy and international geopolitics and trade.
He is Partner and Director, Global Trade & Investment, at Boston Consulting Group, where he serves corporate and public-sector clients across geographies and sectors. Mr. McAdoo has advised both the Union Government and State Governments in India on matters of Trade and Investment. He was also the lead Expert of the advisory team for the Chair of the 2023 India B20 Trade & Investment Task force.
Earlier in his career he was a senior executive with Bombardier Inc., where as head of International, he led a team of 35 professionals in 5 countries. Michael began his career as a staffer in the Parliament of Canada, where he rose to become Executive Assistant to the Prime Minister. In this role, he participated in trade and diplomatic missions to 22 countries.
Michael received his undergraduate education at Queen's University and Harvard, holds Master’s degrees in International Affairs and Journalism from Columbia University, and completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies in International Law and Economics from the World Trade Institute at the University of Bern. He is a certified Masters Professional Director – Public Company, by the ACCD.
Michael is also a Course Lecturer in the Faculty of Management and School of Public Policy at McGill University, leading courses on Emerging Markets, and International Stakeholder Engagement.
