Mr. Sumit Sanghai

Mr. Sumit Sanghai is a member of the Board of Directors of ICICI Bank Canada. He is also part of the Board committees on Audit, Risk and Conduct Review. At the parent Bank, Mr. Sanghai serves as a member of the Committee of Senior Management and Committee of Executives. He is a permanent invitee as part of the Credit Committee, the highest credit sanctioning forum at the parent Bank.

He is a key member of the Leadership Team of ICICI Bank Limited and currently responsible for managing Large Corporate Group, Capital Market & Custody Group, Construction Realty Funding & Asset Monetization Group, Financial Sponsor Group and Strategic Solution Group.

During his career with ICICI Bank for more than 24 years, he has managed several responsibilities in the areas of Corporate Banking, Government Banking, Transaction Banking, Real Estate and Supply Chain. He has led the digital transformation in the corporate segment of ICICI Bank through various industry specific and turnkey solutions backed by new age technologies. These platforms cover a wide range of banking services including payments, collections, trade finance, foreign exchange etc. increasing customers efficiencies and deepening 360-degree wallet share for the Bank.

Mr. Sanghai is an expert in various sectors including infrastructure, real estate, cement, capital markets and financial services. He is also associated with various industrial bodies and has been a member of various expert committees in the field of banking & finance in India.

Mr. Sanghai holds a degree in Chartered Accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He achieved All India 2nd Rank in Chartered Accountancy Intermediate Examination, All India 3rd Rank in CA Final Examination and All India 4th Rank in Company Secretaryship (CS) Final examination.
