Steps to Activate your Student Account

Next steps after downloading the app:

While you are in India - Update us with your travel plans.

Upon your arrival in Canada -

1. Complete the activation form online or through the mobile app and upload the required identification documents,
2. On subsequent page, you now have a choice of opening an account with Royal Bank of Canada or you can continue with your Activation application with ICICI Bank Canada

3. When choosing Royal Bank Canada (RBC), the following steps apply.

   • Complete the form and submit the activation application with ICICI Bank Canada.

   • You will receive instructions for opening an account with Royal Bank of Canada in your secure mailbox.

   • Please check your secure mailbox for the email and Referral Document attached

   • Follow the steps carefully to successfully transfer funds from your ICICI Bank Canada account to your Royal Bank of Canada account.
     You will have the following options to choose from:

   • Access to the entire amount available in your account OR,

   • Invest a portion in a 6, 9, or 12-months instalment GIC with monthly payout in RBC account OR,

   • Invest a portion in 1 year to 2 years Cashable GIC and receive the proceeds in your RBC account at the end of the term.

4. When choosing ICICI Bank Canada, complete online KYC or in-person verification by visiting any ICICI Bank Canada branch or any of our authorized partners across Canada.
   • You will be required to invest a portion in a 6, 9, or 12-months instalment GIC with monthly payout in ICICI Bank account.
